Our First Trip to Treasure Cay has been a complete success. We were able to take Russ Durling's 31ft Sea Ray out to Treasure Cay with only minor problems. The aid that was so graciously donated by LRGI Range Members and by the United Methodist Church Organization for Relief (UMCOR) was delivered to the Samaritans Purse representatives at Treasure Cay for distribution to those in need.
We delivered 3 Generators, 10 box Fans, 1 Chainsaw, 8 large Gas Cans 2 boxes of extension cables 3 big boxes of tarpaulins, 10 solar lamps with usb charger port, 36 hammers and a big box of nails. We also left 10 Bibles for the Treasure Cay Church.
We would like to make another trip before Christmas if we can raise the support and the donations to make it worthwhile.
We are still seeking donations to support a future relief run to Treasure Cay.
It is, as always, the expensive things that are still in short supply. People desperately need generators to get back to living normally, a small generator allows a family to run their refrigerator, a fan helps keep cool, and electric power gives light at night and the ability to recharge phones. Small 2kw generators are ideal.
Treasure Cay is still without power or running water. They do now have cell phone service and gas is available for cars and generators.
Major Cost Items
Round trip to Treasure Cay 330 gallons of gasoline approx $800
Small generator 2kw @ $210
Medium Generator 3.5Kw @ $320
Gas cans 5gal per 4 pack $110
10ftx10ft Tarpaulin 4 pack $32
Solar lantern with usb socket (phone charger) 2pack $18
Thank You All for Your Consideration

Last Resort Guns is pleased to announce that Russ Durling one of the owners of LRGI is going to make a trip down to Florida and then across to Abaco in the Bahamas to deliver much needed relief supplies to Treasure Cay on Abaco this week. He will make the crossing in his Sea Ray 290, a fairly small boat for a big crossing.
Treasure Cay is 165 miles from the Florida coast and about 13 miles from Marsh Harbour, the town that was wiped out by Hurricane Dorian. Treasure Cay is currently without electric power and without running water, most buildings were so badly damaged or flooded as to be uninhabitable. There are relief agencies on the ground but there is a daily list of needs.
Currently they need Personal Hygiene items, bottled water, food for toddlers, bedding, and clothes. However there is an ongoing and desperate need for more small generators, gas cans and tarpaulins to aid in getting everyone under cover and a little more comfortable. We have been given many of these items as well as some Bibles by the United Methodist Church.
