Range Event Information

 We offer a wide variety of events here at LRGI from classes for those unfamiliar with firearms to advanced classes for experts and instructors. We want everyone to be able to participate safely and  we understand you may have  questions. Please take a look at the information presented below. Tactical Tuesday

Want to draw from the holster and shoot while moving to and from cover? Welcome to Tactical Tuesday! TT is an ongoing work shop in which we run various time/accuracy drills to hone our skills as shooters.

In order to participate, a shooter must have an appropriate belt holster and be familiar with his/her chosen firearm. Shoulder Holsters, Cross Draw & Small of Back holsters are not permitted; holsters must securely retain the gun. First time shooters are probationary and any safety violation will require the shooter to attend the Tac Tuesday intro course run on Sat Mornings.

If you wish to develop your skills before attending a Tactical Tuesday, the Intro event is held every other Saturday.

US Practical Shooting Association

All shooters, from the shooting sports beginner, to the experienced competitor, will find an exciting and enjoyable time shooting USPSA at LRGI.

USPSA shooting will require shooting on the move at variable distances while being timed and scored.

Shoots are held every wednesday evening. Registration ends at 6pm safety briefing at 6.05pm  match starts after the safety briefing. You must be present for the safety briefing to shoot. Be sure to check the calendar for any last minute changes. We usually shoot 6 stages. Bring your favorite pistol or revolver and join us for some fun. Everyone is welcome. If you never have shot this type of competition, come on out. We will make sure you have a safe and fun time.

Eye/ear protection is required for all shooters and spectators, as well as appropriate footwear.

Church Security Group

In recent years, church shootings have made the headlines multiple times. As responsible gun owners, protecting our families and friends at church is something of immense importance. The LRGI Church Security Group provide ongoing training and practice in skills important to safely protecting those we care about.

To attend our ongoing classes, you must pre-qualify. There are two options for this:

•     LRGI will schedule and run introductory training for first time attendees when a minimum of 3 new security group attendees request it.

•     Attending the Intro to Tactical Tuesday Training will also satisfy this pre-qualification requirement.

You will need to bring a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition, any handgun, a belt mounted holster (either open or concealed), and belt mounted magazine holder.

All Regular Classes

We believe that training and practice are a large part of responsible gun ownership. The training available at LRGI includes Practical Concealed Carry, Youth .22 Rifle Safety and Shooting, and Basic Pistol courses. LRGI are part of the Glock Blue Label Program

GLOCK is proud to offer the exclusive Blue Label program to support those who protect and serve communities across the U.S. and around the world. Those who qualify will receive a discount on two GLOCK pistols per calendar year. Those who qualify include:

• Sworn Law Enforcement officers, including Federal, State, County & City also includes retired L.E. officers with “retired” credentials (LE Department Picture ID front & back)
• EMT’s, Fire Fighters, Volunteer Fire Fighters, and Paramedics (with Picture ID from department front & back) 
  Certifications alone are not authorized and do not qualify
• Military personnel including Reservists and National Guard with I.D also includes retired Military with “retired” credentials

  DD214/discharge papers do not qualify – If you cannot submit your ID please use our dealer locator to find a dealer in your area

• State Licensed Security Companies (Loomis, RAM, etc.) Also includes State Licensed Armed Security Officers Employed by State Licensed Security Companies 
  (with Employment Picture ID from company front & back) Certifications alone are not authorized and do not qualify
• Court Judges
• LE Academy Cadets with enrollment documentation from the Academy
• GSSF Coupon Recipients should contact GSSF for more information.

To receive the Blue Label price you must present  an authorized ID, LE photo ID, Original Department official use letter or other authorized ID.
